Fan Report: A moment with Tarja

First of all, Merry Christmas and a Happy new year to all the readers! Feliz Navidad y feliz año nuevo! Hyvää joulua ja Onnellista Uutta Vuotta.

This time we will post the experience of a fan at the Opera Rock Show in Miskolc, written by Kinga. Read for yourself what she has to say about our diva.

A moment with Tarja
I truly admire her patience and kindness

I’m not very good at stuff like this, but let’s give it a try. ^^

At the Opera Rock Show, in Miskolc, I saw Tarja for the second time. I suppose this place is not exactly meant for praising her shows, her talent or her charisma, so I’ll try to skip this. Razz

It was my typical luck that last time I couldn’t meet her after the show... I’m not the type of fan who starts stalking a celebrity or something like that, but it has always been one of my dreams to meet her.

So after the wonderful show, I went to the exit with the other people who were hoping that she’ll come out. We were something like 150 people there, from something like 20 countries and from each direction I heard different languages! I was a bit afraid that she’ll get frightened and not even throw a glance at us. So I haven’t made high hopes. However I couldn’t leave, so I planked myself down near the fence.

With less than an hour later we saw her outside. She seemed to be in a good mood, and immediately went to the people who were standing closest to her, greeted them, and gave them autographs. A couple of minutes later I heard the engine of a car, and she went back. I was truly afraid that this was all, and that she’ll go away… But when she ran to the car, I noticed that it was packed with the band members. She was joking a bit with them, some of us greeted them as well, and talked a bit. After they left I was nicely surprised seeing Tarja coming back, smiling, chatting and signing things for all of us. She didn’t leave until each and everyone of us got his/her question answered, CD - or whatever we brought with us - signed, and until we took a picture with her. Meanwhile we sung to her the “Ode to Tarja”, and although technically our performance wasn’t shining it turned out very nice in my opinion. Here is a video about it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_V6HifOBhY

In the meantime Marcelo was willingly answering our questions, so I played upon the possibility and asked him about a possible show in my country.
Tarja stayed pretty much outside with us. At the end she was apologizing that they have to hurry to the airport, but she was still standing there. When they left she waved for us from the window of the car.

In a nutshell, I’m very happy that I finally had the chance to see her face to face. She’s a nice, funny, talkative and humble lady. I just hope that next time there will be no ugly green bars, so I will be able to take a normal photo with her, and share a couple of words normally. But I don’t want to be ungrateful, I’m very happy that I was lucky enough to have this possibility. I’m truly happy about it.

If it depends on me, there surely will be a “next time”. :]

Thank you very much to Kinga for sharing her experience with us.
