Tarja, an inspiration for Anda Cofaru

Tarja is someone who, through her voice and music, has reached many people and awakened a lot of feelings like love, admiration and some others. Anda Cofaru, a great artist from Romania found one particular feeling in our diva: inspiration.

Anda had the opportunity to exhibit her work during ArtMania 2011 and she decided to inspire herself in Tarja’s life; her ups and downs and the way she finds peace, that0s why she prepared a collection of paintings that revolved around the sea, and guess what? Tarja went to see the exhibition! Let us read Anda’s words about what happened:

Kiko Loureiro: It's easy to get along with Tarja

A-hah! We caught Kiko Loureiro, Angra's main man -with whom Tarja will have a special participation in Rock in Rio this September-, speaking about Tarja on the Dutch Progressive Rock Page. See, they ask her if Tarja is a "difficult woman" (a-hem a-hem, I think they meant diva) so let's see what is Kiko's answer.

Mike Terrana: Tarja is my favorite artist

We have already featured Monster drummer Master Mike Terrana in this blog, but that's no reason for us not telling just how fantastic and awesome of a drummer he is, so we'll just say it: he is a fantastic and awesome drummer! He is also incredibly funny, have you seen his facebook? You really should, he's about to reach the maximum of friends!

But that's not why we're here. He is featured in TISAD because he dared speak of the Diva. Just a few words, but we think they will tell you all you need yo know about what he thinks of her.

My my... look at all that violence! No wonder
Mike speaks of her the way he does.
And doesn't she look as diva-ish as always?

Rhevan: Tarja's influence is always present in our compositions

Rhevan is an independent symphonic/gothic female fronted metal from Brazil (whew, that was a mouthful!) and they are doing fabulous music! Recently, Winter Storm Mexico had the chance to interview them and they told us some things about Tarja, her influence and how mean she is since she makes the beautiful vocalist, Dani Navarro, suffer ;)

Julian Barret: She never feels herself to be more that anyone

Yes! This site is alive! Eh--- ahem. We have a nice fragment of an interview for you.

Julian Barret worked with Tarja recording 3 songs for her latest album and then joined her for her Latin American What Lies Beneath tour in March, 2011. The website Tarja Argentina had the chance to conduct a lengthy interview with the guitar player and guess what? He certainly had LOTS to say about the soprano. Why don't you join us in the gossip? ;)

Guess what? I met Tarja!

You have no idea. I erased these first lines so many times. I think I am an eloquent (not to mention, modest) person when it comes to the art of writing feelings and experiences (adding some more modesty here, yes, now it's great!). However I never thought I'd have problems narrating my own experience for my own blog!

I shall give it a try.

Meeting with Tarja is a magical moment for Liv Kristine

This time we have for you several quotes from Liv Kristine, the amazing singer of Leaves' Eyes who is a very talented, smart and kind woman and who, we're sure, knows how to choose those she calls her friends; you know, people as awesome as she is, and not diva-ish at all (we must find a synonym for this word, really :P)

A small live report from... Thomas Vikström!!!

Thomas Vikström work list is looong. The man already sang in Operas, Musicals, commercials but many of us must have heard of his work with the metal bands Candlemass and Therion. Well… he had the opportunity to watch Tarja playing live in Argentina and shared in his website a small note about that night where he commented briefly about the gig. Check it out!

Lisa Middelhauve: She is some kind of demi goddess for me

Winter Storm Mexico had the opportunity to talk to Lisa Middelhauve, the former singer of the German band Xandria. Among telling her musical plans after she left Xandria, the amazing singer and composer told the fan club how was her first experience watching Tarja with Nightwish back in 2002. It’s an amazing story which seems to happen quite often with other people as well, as far as we heard.

Beautiful and easygoing, says Honza Kirk

On December 13, 2008 in Düsseldorf, Germany, Honza Kirk Běhunek, guitarist of the band SEVEN attended that awesome rockorgasmic concert known as the celebration of lady Doro's 25 years in music.

Some words about his experience there were posted in the band's website and... yep, guess who is mentioned? Correct! Oh come on, it was an easy one :P
